This project involved the creation of a custom Arabic display typeface, designed specifically for an alphabet poster. The typeface features a distinctive ribbon-like design that incorporates two colors, allowing for a personalized color choice to suit various aesthetic needs. This unique approach highlights the elegance and fluidity of Arabic script, making the typeface ideal for display purposes, such as posters or decorative projects. The typeface was developed to blend tradition with contemporary design, enhancing the appeal and versatility of Arabic typography in a modern context.
My approach for this Arabic typeface focused on capturing the natural flow and beauty of the script while introducing a modern, dual-color ribbon effect. The curves of each letter mimic the graceful movement of ribbons, adding a layered and dimensional quality that gives the typeface depth. In the mockup, I chose warm, earthy tones to emphasize the elegance and warmth of the letterforms, creating an inviting visual appeal. This typeface stands out as a refined and unique option for display purposes, combining cultural authenticity with contemporary aesthetics.
