Overview

For the United States Bowling Congress, I created unique logos for the 2026 Open Championships and Women’s Championships. Each design was tailored to embody the spirit and excitement of these prestigious events while paying homage to their respective locations—Reno, Nevada, and Las Vegas, Nevada. The logos incorporate visual elements that highlight iconic aspects of the host cities, such as the mountainous backdrop for the Women’s Championships and architectural landmarks for the Open Championships. Both logos embrace a bold and patriotic color palette, aligned with USBC’s brand identity and tradition, which reflects the community spirit and competitive energy of these championships.

Approach

My design process involved capturing both the local essence of each venue and the values that USBC represents. I focused on creating strong, memorable visuals that would resonate with participants and spectators alike. By integrating city-specific symbols and utilizing a cohesive color scheme of reds, blues, and whites, I aimed to reinforce the connection between the USBC's heritage and the unique atmosphere of each championship location. Each logo was designed with scalability and versatility in mind to ensure consistent branding across various formats, from digital platforms to event merchandise and printed materials. This approach not only unified the championship branding but also provided a dynamic visual identity that celebrates the sport and its community.
