Through a mobile truck service, Running Roots brings a variety of plants, botanical items, and gardening tools directly to city dwellers, creating an oasis of greenery in bustling urban areas. The project also includes an educational component, offering workshops and hands-on guidance to empower individuals to embrace sustainable practices within their city environments. Running Roots aims to foster environmental stewardship and inspire people to integrate nature into their daily lives, regardless of limited space or time.
The design for Running Roots is rooted in organic, earthy tones and a warm, welcoming aesthetic that reflects the project's commitment to sustainability and community. The style guide defines a soft, nature-inspired color palette, with hues such as deep forest green and muted oranges and yellows, conveying a connection to nature while feeling modern and approachable. The typography chosen for this brand emphasizes readability while carrying a subtle, organic flow, aligning with the brand's relaxed, inclusive vibe. Imagery and button styles were selected to be friendly and accessible, emphasizing the hands-on, nurturing experience of urban gardening.
