“Time” is a multi-panel abstract painting that explores the concept of time as a fluid and ever-evolving entity. Inspired by the abstract expressionist style of Jackson Pollock, the work employs a dynamic interplay of lines, drips, and splatters to create a sense of movement and energy. The use of a limited color palette of black, white, and gold on the clock creates a striking visual contrast, drawing attention to the intricate details of the painting. The central circular motif serves as a focal point, symbolizing the cyclical nature of time.
For “Time,” I aimed to create a visually dynamic and thought-provoking painting that would capture the essence of time’s passage. Inspired by the abstract expressionist style of Jackson Pollock, I used a spontaneous and energetic approach to apply paint to the canvas. I began by creating a chaotic field of lines and drips, building up layers of texture and color. I then introduced a clock, which serves as a focal point and symbolizes the cyclical nature of time. Ingrained into the design is the Arabic word for time written is a gilded gold. By carefully selecting a the expression of the color palette, I was able to create a strong visual impact and emphasize the intricate details of the painting.
